Tracy D. Barrett CPA
PartnerTracy joined AgeeFisherBarrett in 2000 in the Auditing
and Assurance Department and was promoted to Partner in 2007.
He then became the Director of the Insurance Group.
As Director of the Insurance Group, Tracy oversees all regulatory
examination work. Companies examined primarily include traditional
property and casualty insurance companies, captives, self-insured
funds and health maintenance organizations.
In addition to audit, he also has extensive experience with
international taxation, tax services for individual, fiduciary
and corporate clients, including assisting companies with
obtaining corporate financing and bonding, as well as cancellation
of debt, recourse and non-recourse. Tracy is heavily involved
in the insurance, hedge fund, real estate and construction
fields, as well as tax compliance for financial institutions
.
Tracy graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration
in Accounting from the University of Georgia in 1994. He is
an avid golfer and an active member of the Georgia Society
of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA), the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Society of Financial
Examiners (SOFE) and the Insurance Accounting and Systems
Association (IASA).
Stein K. Agee
Partner
Stein started his accounting career in 1996 as an intern
with AgeeFisherBarrett, LLC. In 2000 he joined the Firm full
time in the Audit Department. He became Director of Operations
in 2003, Partner in 2007 and assumed the role of Tax Services
Partner in 2009.
Stein provides accounting and attestation, tax and consulting
services within the AgeeFisherBarrett auditing and tax departments.
His experience spans an array of industries, such as insurance,
automobile and heavy equipment dealerships, manufacturing
and many others. Stein oversees all of the Employee Benefit
Plan audits, as well as the tax services which correspond
to those ERISA audits. At AFB, he is responsible for overseeing
general operations of the Firm, human resources and technology,
as well as client relationships.
Stein was an Eagle Scout as a young man, then received his
Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University’s
Kelley School of Business in 2000. Some of his professional
affiliations include The American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (AICPA), Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants
(GSCPA), Society of Financial Examiners (SOFE) and the Insurance
and Accounting Systems Association (IASA).
Corey T. Agee
Partner
Corey began his accounting career as in intern at AgeeFisherBarrett,
LLC during high school and college, then, upon graduation
from college, joined the Firm full time in 2005. He was promoted
to Partner in 2007.
Corey specializes in Audit for the Firm, assuming much of
the responsibility for the department. His clients are comprised
primarily of automobile and heavy equipment dealerships, insurance
and construction contractors, as well as many other diverse
industries. Corey shares his time with the Tax Department,
working with LIFO calculations, financial advisors, tax work
for retirement plans, plus corporate and individual tax returns.
He proudly attained the rank of Eagle Scout as a young man,
and then graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley
School of Business in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
Corey is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA),
the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA) and is a Board Member
of the Delons Project, a not-for-profit which mentors young
men at risk.
Jack E. Fisher CPA
Partner Jack began his career with the IRS as a Revenue Agent in
1972. He was in tax and audit at Price Waterhouse for five
years, partner-in-charge at the Atlanta office of a regional
accounting firm, and started Fisher & Company in 1982.
In 1984, he and his long time friend and colleague, Ed Agee,
formed what is now AgeeFisherBarrett, LLC.
The scope of Jack’s experience is extremely diversified,
including specialized tax, IRS litigation work and mergers
and acquisitions. Recently, he has been heavily involved in
real estate and has successfully developed several low density
conservation easements in North Carolina. Jack has been dividing
his time between North Carolina and Atlanta, while maintaining
an active role in specialized consulting projects, client
service and as a valued mentor and advisor to AgeeFisherBarrett,
LLC.
Jack graduated magna cum laude from Mars Hill College in
Mars Hill, North Carolina, with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (AICPA), the Georgia Society of Certified Public
Accountants (GSCPA) and the North Carolina Society of Certified
Public Accountants (NCSCPA).
Edward C. Agee CPA
Ed began his accounting career in 1971 with Price Waterhouse
in North Carolina, followed by a four year international stint,
implementing various international accounting standards. After
organizing a regional firm, which was subsequently merged
into Touche Ross & Co., Ed, along with Jack Fisher, formed
what is now AgeeFisherBarrett, LLC in 1984. It was Ed’s
leadership, dedication, talent and panache that was instrumental
in making the Firm what it is today. Sadly, Ed passed away
in November 2009, but his legacy lives on in AgeeFisherBarrett,
LLC, a center of excellence in the Atlanta accounting community.
